Account & Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, please email us at admin@digitalhorizonsoftware.com with the subject line for the relevant app (listed below) and include the email address associated with your Google Sign-In.

We will delete your account data from our systems within 30 days.

Laneworks

Email subject line: "Delete My Laneworks Account"

The following data will be deleted:

  • Game progress and level completion data
  • Purchase verification records
  • Authentication data stored in Firebase

Station Arkhon

Email subject line: "Delete My Station Arkhon Account"

The following data will be deleted:

  • Game save data stored in Google Cloud Firestore
  • Purchase verification records
  • Authentication data stored in Firebase
  • Google Play Games Services data (achievements and leaderboards)

Open Verdict

Easiest path — delete from inside the app: open Open Verdict → tap the Profile icon → scroll to the bottom of the Sign-In Information section → tap Delete account permanently → confirm. The account and all associated data are deleted immediately; you'll be returned to the sign-in screen.

Don't have the app installed anymore? Email us instead:

Include in the email body either (a) the email address you used to sign in with Apple, Google, or email-and-password, or (b) the detective name you chose during character creation if you no longer have access to that email. We will verify ownership of the account before processing the deletion.

The following data will be permanently deleted from our database (PostgreSQL on Railway) within thirty (30) days of a verified request:

  • Your account record (email, sign-in provider, account creation timestamp)
  • Detective profile (detective name, pronouns, portrait selection)
  • Game progress for every case you have started, including: case outcomes, accusation grades (AIRTIGHT / SOLID / LUCKY / WRONG), notebook bookmarks, and remaining session state
  • Career history (rank, streak, best-verdict tracking, totals)
  • Leaderboard entries — your detective name and per-case accusation scores will no longer appear on in-game leaderboards
  • Purchase records associated with your account on our backend (note: purchase records held by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat are subject to their separate retention policies — contact those platforms separately if you wish to delete their records)
  • Analytics events tied to your account ID (case starts, accusations made, paywall views, etc.)
  • Any remaining case-session interrogation history not already auto-purged by the rolling 90-day window
  • Device fingerprint association with your account
  • If you held the Bureau Insider (BYOK) pass: the BYOK entitlement record on our server (note: your Anthropic API key is stored ONLY on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers — uninstalling the Open Verdict app removes the key from your device automatically)

Data retained briefly after deletion (for legal / fraud-prevention purposes only):

  • The deletion request itself (subject line, requestor email, timestamp, verification confirmation) is retained for up to twelve (12) months to demonstrate compliance with deletion requests if challenged
  • Anthropic's retention of interrogation messages forwarded during paid Bureau Files cases is governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy and is not under our control; contact Anthropic separately if needed (see our Privacy Policy for the link)

Data NOT retained after deletion: no personal information about you is retained beyond the deletion-confirmation record described above. We do not maintain anonymous shadow copies, archival snapshots of your case sessions, or any other retained data.
